Triangle Capital Corporation Invests $8.0 Million in Inland Pipe Rehabilitation

RALEIGH, N.C., June 9, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Triangle Capital Corporation (Nasdaq:TCAP) ("Triangle" or the "Company"), a leading specialty finance company that provides customized financing solutions to lower middle market companies located throughout the United States, today announced that it closed an $8.0 million subordinated debt investment in Inland Pipe Rehabilitation Holding Company ("Inland Pipe"). The Company also received a warrant to purchase up to 2.5% of Inland Pipe's membership interests. Inland Pipe provides maintenance, inspection, and repair for piping, sewers, drains, and storm lines by utilizing several of the industry's leading technologies including pipe bursting, cured-in-place-pipe, and spiral wound piping.

"As the largest pipe bursting company in the United States and a pioneer in the pipe restoration industry, Inland Pipe is a great addition to Triangle's portfolio of investments. With a diverse customer base that includes many major municipal clients, Inland Pipe is well positioned to continue its pattern of growth which is, in part, driven by an aging U.S. sewer and pipe infrastructure," commented Garland S. Tucker, III, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
